Since version 1.2, miCal's startup and overall performance has been improved and is clearly faster on every device. Nevertheless, you should use a 3GS or higher, because there can be performance and memory issues on 3G devices.

What's new in Version 1.4
As always we added some amazing new features:
+ add day of the month or week number as badge on the dashboard icon
+ suggest an event title. Select from the last 25 titles or out of three favorites. Suggest changes with every new key stroke (favorites can be set in the settings)
+ option to align weekdays below each other. (In settings activate "Weekdays below")
+ show the dashboard on startup from background if the option is set in the settings
+ added new recurrence settings (Please note: due to a bug in iOS some monthly settings are only available in iOS 4.2 or higher)
+ in daily view jump near first event start instead of 8 in the morning
Optimizations:
✗ year view: Mark the current day in current week
Problems solved:
✓ sorting of search result for all day events
✓ 24/12 hour in clock display
✓ fix birthday reminder if automatic is active
And many other optimizations and smaller bug fixes...
